Thanks Berto and all friends . For Burch . He got us together, with a little help from Gretchen and Ted. It was a great Dinner , evening, gathering.
Mom points out today, two days after this dinner..that all these friends sitting around the table admitted we would not be here if it weren't for Burch. He has always been the King of Hosts, Mr.Planner, Mr.Party. More,==>he just gathers good friends always all thru his great life. As he points out, he has his elementary school friends, his jr high school friends, his high school friends, his college friends, his work friends , his life long friends.....of course many of you are on all of those lists.
He told me tonight he was just thinking of this dinner party and was a bit jealous, did he miss out? But then he realized he actually felt good, Great in fact...he had brought these good friends, good people together from a distance. So as MO and H say " Mission Accomplished!"
And you know what ?..no matter where he is he will always do that, we will always come together for and because of Burch.
So I realized that even though he was not physically here at the table... his spirit was fully here and we enjoyed ourselves thanks to him. Of course there he was down in Moraga thinking pretty much the same thing. Besides he was able to call in and enjoy us from afar.
